Last Friday, November 23rd, Vince Pacheco and I decided to go and do a one-day hang out @ LD's. I took so many pictures in the surrounding area of his home including his shop, that LD thought I was a spy for the Japanese and Chinese. I think it made him nervous. Haha!!
LD's property is the airgunner's dream. It's what every airgunner out there, I think, would die to have. He has, what appears to be acres of just open land with various terrain characteristics - flat, brush, sloping, rocky, sandy and desert.
Also on the property he has a 51 yard shooting tunnel for testing out barrels and groupings of different types and makes of airguns. As you all probably know that is where MAC-1 barrel test the USFT. His patio on the side of his garage overlooks a shallow valley with some granite
rock formations in some areas and sandy in others. The valley provides the canvas for setting up shooting targets that are patio viewable. I remember during the summer Temecula Match, we spent hours on his patio plinking away.
Towards the afternoon, Vince and I perused LD's impressive collection of airguns. We got to try and tinker with different types. LD has this really impressive, I would like to say 1970's airgun which had two triggers. The rear trigger set the front. Pulling the front trigger to shoot the gun was like a feather and very very smooth. The feeling of it has never left my right index finger. Ill never forget get.
